Olivier Awards 2019

Olivier Awards 2019

Stars of the West End past, present and future gathered for the Olivier Awards in early April at the Royal Albert Hall and Chester Barrie was there in style!

17 April

The Oliviers celebrate the best of London Theatre, everything from best actor to best lighting, from best musical to best costume. Chester Barrie is the official menswear sponsor, which meant that many of the great and the good of the theatre world came to Savile Row to be kitted out for the Red Carpet.

Host Jason Manford chose our navy wool jacquard jacket and teamed it with classic dinner trousers while American TV star Kelsey Grammer went for classic black eveningwear.

Velvet was a particularly popular choice, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith chose sage, Arthur Darvill chose a deep navy while Danny Dyer plumped for grey.

In all, Chester Barrie dressed over 20 of the presenters and nominees including: Jack McBrayer, Chris Walley, Luke Pasqualino, Richard Fleeshman and Charlie Cox.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was won by Sir Matthew Bourne, a long-time friend of Chester Barrie, who chose to wear Chester Barrie’s classic black dinner suit with a shawl collar.
